Frequently Ask Questions

Q: Does the Go. Go Love Foundation fund non-Australian organisations?

A: Yes we do.

Q: Does my organisation need to have a charity status to apply for funding?

A: Yes, we will only fund organisations that are registered as a charity in their respective countries. If applying for Australia, then we require the organisation to have tax deductibility status. Please include your registration certificate in your application.

Q: What is a small to medium NGO?

A: Go Go Love use the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission definition of a small to medium NGO, you can find it here. It states that any NGO that has revenue of less than 1 million AUD per annum is a small to medium NGO.

Q: What is the typical duration of the Foundation’s grant?

A: The grant duration is generally no longer than two years, depending on the project, organisation and funding amount. The foundation may support a project longer, but this would be assessed on a case-by-case scenario.

Q: Does Go. Go Love fund overhead/indirect costs?

A: We do fund the overhead/indirect costs component within the scope of the project. We do ask for projects to try and keep these within 10-15% of total budget costs. We welcome proposals that have lower percentage of administration cost, and budgets that cost share a proportion of this.

Q: Who do I contact for advice and enquires?

A: Applicants are encouraged to contact us with any questions or concerns prior to submission. Please email share@gogolove.org and a member of our grants team we will be touch with answers.

Q: When are grant decisions made?

A: At the present moment, we are hoping to make formal offers before the end of 2018, so projects can begin in early 2019.

Q: Do you have a project budget template?

A: Yes we do have a template – however you may use your own template if you think it will reflect your budget more clearly.

Q: Is there a grant agreement?

A: Yes there will be a grant agreement and/or contract to sign if your project has been successful.

Q: How do I provide a project report and financial acquittal?

A: We will supply you with a final report template and financial acquittal template. These will be distributed to you once you have been selected.

Q: Will I need to complete a progress report?

A: Yes! Go. Go Love will provide a questionnaire for you to complete about half way through your project. However we also welcome any updates and questions throughout your project! We may even visit for our own monitoring processes.

Q: Should I acknowledge our grant from the Go Go Love Foundation?
A: Yes, our expectation is that you acknowledge the foundation as a partner in the project.
